Used Hale Portable Fire Pump P250 MOD2

Use this pump to help protect your home during a brush fire, despite power
failures, by using the water from your swimming pool, lagoon, lake, or river as its reservoir.
These used (mostly low-time) U.S. Navy surplus Hale Pumps Model P250 MOD2,
produce 250 gpm @ 125 psi (with a 16 ft lift) and up to 400 gpm @ 80 psig, and
take a
3" suction hose and 2 1/2" discharge hose with NST female threads.
These units have only been checked to see if the crankshaft turns and for
engine compression. They look complete, but are nonetheless sold "as -
is". The U.S. Navy cost new was $12,912.00 per pump.
They are powered by oil injected, 2 cylinder, 2 cycle, standard OMC 55hp
outboard powerhead and uses BIA-TCW 2 cycle engine oil. It is pull (manual)
start and operates on JP5 (Jet Fuel) or gasoline (although currently set up
for gasoline). The pump uses a fixed ratio
fuel/oil pump that automatically meters the proper amount of oil and fuel; no
pre-mixing required. The pump units have low hours on the hour meter. The
powerhead alone is worth the money!!!
The frames are primarily aluminum, most with folding carrying handles. 20" x
21" x 24" tall and weighs 172 lbs. The unit requires a standard
outboard motor type tank that is not included (call our Auction Desk to order
a fuel tank 800 621-2405).
