Cummins Diesel or Natural Gas Fire Pump |
This is one overwhelming Cummins 175 HP Diesel driven Fire Pump which
can operate on diesel or natural gas fuel. The diesel engine is a
Model No. N H 220 - 1F (7-72) S.O. No. 35688. It is unique in that for
Natural Gas operation, the engine is first started on Diesel Fuel and
then switched over to natural gas operation with the govenor
controlling the flow of natural gas.
The diesel engine has a closed cooling system which flows through the
"A" section of the heat exchanger. Some of the raw water
pumped by the pump is diverted through the "B" section of
the heat exchanger, thereby cooling the water circulating in the
engine's jacket. The engine operates at 1750 RPM on diesel or natural
gas fuel and has a 24 volt starter. The engine has been turned over
but not started, and is therefore sold as-is where-is.
The Colt Industries Pump is a 6", single stage, Fig. 5824 F Fire
Pump. BHP at rated conditions is 119; max BHP 145. Rated conditions at
1500 GPM @ 100 PSI and 1700 RPM. Net pressure at shut-off, 111 PSI.
Net pressure at 150% rated capacity, 70 PSI.
The pump has a 16" diameter impeller, ser. K2T 1068618 with a
6" outlet, 8" diameter flange, 8-1/2" inlet, with a
13-1/2" diameter flange.
Overall dimensions: 112" long, by 37" wide by 66" high.
