Tripod with Shoe Points and Level |
This is a new,
heavy-duty, lightweight, aluminum (not cheap plastic),
ex-military surplus, dual purpose, stiff leg, Surveying
Tripod, with 5/8"-11 threaded hole for David White units.
The tripod was made by Intricate Manufacturing Co. (IMC).
At the top, the bolt can be removed to accept a range pole.
The unit comes with a Bubble Level, a Hanger for a Plumb Bob,
Step Toe Legs, a web Packing Leg Strap with buckle, and Safety
Wired Wing Nuts for locking the legs in position. The legs are
not telescopic.
The step toe shoes function to hold the tripod firmly in place
while you're working, particularly on soft terrain.
This unit can be adapted for many other uses such as a
"super stationary on soft surfaces" video or still
camera tripod, PA speaker holder, etc.
The tripod height is 42" and the shipping weight is 10
lbs.
