This unit is ideal for Boats, Trucks, Motor Homes, RVs, or other battery operated devices that have multiple battery arrays. For those that aren't familiar with parallel solenoids, the function of the device is to remotely connect two batteries or two banks of batteries together, usually when one bank is lower in power than the other, to facilitate starting an engine or passing a charge. They are also used to temporarily connect two batteries in series (to produce 24 volts) that normally are connected in parallel. The Paralleling Solenoid can be operated remotely and only the gauge of the wire or bus used to energize the solenoid dictates the maximum distance from which it can be operated.
