1 HP DC Electric Turret Robotic Motor
This is a used, military take-off, heavy duty General Electric or Oster, etc. brand (all built to the same exacting military specifications) Mo. #5BC21YJ80, surplus, 1HP, DC electric motor. It is ideal for robotic applications where lots of power in a compact space is required.
The motor operates at 4000 RPM, with 27 DC Armature volts and 60 to 27 DC Field volts, 16/3.5 amps respectively, Spec. TKK (it will operate with 27 volts DC on the field- simply a bit slower).
The motor has a four bolt flange mounting and a 5/8" diameter 18 tooth spline shaft. It is approximately 5" diameter (excluding the electrical connector) by 11" overall length. Full load time Rating: 10 Minutes (more than enough to annihilate the other robots). The four motor leads (the field (2) and armature (2)) are easily accessible via the jack under the yellow plastic cover (as shown on the pictures) to connect and/or reverse the motor. We have no facility for testing the motor.
